Changan Philippines officially launches the all-new Eado Plus, a compact sedan combining modern design, smart tech, and strong value, with introductory prices starting at ₱699,000 until April 30, 2026
Originally introduced in China back in 2012, the Eado has steadily evolved into one of Changan’s core models. In 2025 alone, it recorded nearly 169,000 units sold, making it one of the top-selling gasoline sedans in its segment. Now, it arrives in the Philippines aiming to offer a practical alternative in a market increasingly dominated by crossovers.
A More Modern Take on the Compact Sedan
At first glance, the Eado Plus leans into a more contemporary design. The front end features a wide, three-dimensional grille paired with halogen projector headlights and LED daytime running lights, giving it a slightly more upscale look than what you’d typically expect in this price range.
Along the side, the lines are clean and straightforward, complemented by body-colored elements and integrated turn signals on the side mirrors. At the rear, LED taillights connected by a chrome strip add a subtle touch of sophistication.
Wheel options vary depending on the variant, with alloy wheels for the Luxe and steel wheels for the Lite.

Focus on Space and Everyday Comfort
Inside, the Eado Plus puts emphasis on usability. The cabin is designed to be straightforward, with a layout that prioritizes ergonomics and ease of use rather than unnecessary complexity.
Both variants come with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, while infotainment differs depending on the trim. The Lite gets a 7-inch touchscreen with basic connectivity, while the Luxe upgrades to a 10-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other notable features include multiple USB ports, a 12V socket, and a PM2.5 air filtration system—something that’s becoming increasingly relevant in urban environments.

The Luxe variant adds more convenience features such as automatic climate control, rear air vents, and additional steering wheel controls, making it the more comfortable option for daily use.
Engine and Driving Setup
Powering the Eado Plus is a 1.5-liter Bluecore gasoline engine paired with a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission. It produces 105 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels.
On paper, the numbers suggest a setup focused more on efficiency and smooth daily driving rather than outright performance. The Luxe variant also includes selectable driving modes—Eco and Normal—for added flexibility.
Safety Comes Standard
Even at this price point, Changan has equipped the Eado Plus with a fairly comprehensive safety package.
Standard features include dual airbags, ABS, EBD, stability control, traction control, hill assist systems, rear parking sensors, and tire pressure monitoring. The Luxe variant adds side airbags, a reverse camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and additional convenience features like smart entry and push-start ignition.
Pricing and Introductory Offer
The Eado Plus is available in two variants:
- Lite DCT – ₱750,000 (₱699,000 intro price)
- Luxe DCT – ₱799,999 (₱749,999 intro price)
The introductory pricing is available until April 30, 2026.

A Practical Play in a Changing Market
With rising fuel costs and increasing interest in more efficient daily drivers, sedans like the Eado Plus are starting to regain relevance—especially when priced competitively.
It may not try to reinvent the segment, but what the Eado Plus brings is straightforward: usable tech, decent space, and pricing that undercuts many competitors.
And in today’s market, that might be exactly what some buyers are looking for.
