Beyond a Refresh
The 2025 Chery Tiggo 2 Pro features a bigger and bolder new grille, coupled with sporty, race-flag-inspired DRLs. Below that are the familiar halogen headlights and turn signals, offering a glimpse of the new design language that (hopefully) defines the next generation of Chery models. It looks good.
While the side profile remains similar to the previous generation, the 2025 model adds more detail to the tire cladding arches, accented with a touch of piano black. There’s also a tastefully placed chrome strip along the side, a decent 160 mm of ground clearance, and functional roof rails.
From afar, the rear of the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro appears largely the same as the previous model. However, upon closer inspection, you’ll notice sleeker, larger taillights and a refined look with the Chery logo replaced by a cleaner, spelled-out version of the brand name.
The 16-inch wheels have a bold, almost aftermarket look—perhaps signaling that Chery is targeting younger buyers with this model.
Connected Interior
It’s been only two years since Chery upgraded the Tiggo 2x, and with the newest version, buyers get to enjoy features like wireless charging, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and an excellent 10.25 inch touchscreen and rear view camera.
While not class-leading in terms of space, the seats are plenty comfortable, offering a generous amount of cushioning.
Visibility is slightly hindered by the large A-pillar, but the steering feel is light without being overly so. The ride quality is pretty good, but the biggest standout compared to its competition is the NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness)—it’s impressively quiet inside the Tiggo 2 Pro.
Similar to the current Chery Tiggo 5x, this refreshed Tiggo 2 Pro features a well-thought-out combination of materials, with tasteful touches of leather and sporty accents throughout the cabin. The interior feels more premium than its Php 818,000 price tag would suggest. For those on a tighter budget, there’s also a lower variant available (Tiggo 2 MT) at an even more affordable price.
Perhaps the biggest selling point is its connectivity options, which even more expensive crossovers lack. Wireless charging and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto come as standard, along with standard cruise control.
Engine Performance
With 113 PS and 138 Nm of torque, the increase in both horsepower and torque is very much appreciated. However, when tackling long, steep inclines, the engine struggles a bit—or more accurately, it gets quite noisy. While it’s manageable, the 1.5L engine produces a considerable amount of sound under load.
Fortunately, the CVT includes a manual mode, allowing you to extract a bit more low-end torque from the engine. Highway overtakes are handled nicely. For city driving, switching to Sport mode offers a livelier experience, but ECO mode is perfectly fine for everyday use.
We also achieved an average of around 14 km/L in a mix of highway stretches and a weekend road trip.
Is it Practical?
This refreshed Chery Tiggo 2 Pro certainly ticks all the standard boxes one would require, 420L of space of luggage space, the 60/40 rear seats don’t fold flat but its perfectly usable.
3 people in the back might be a bit of squeeze (but I’m sure most will still try) and folks at the back would have wrestle with 1 USB to share.

Good stuff for the 1st car buyer
You will never find me spending almost 1M on a first car, thats why its great to know that at Php 818,000 the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro offers this much connectivity, decent fuel mileage and a fresher exterior that even a millenial like me would be happy to drive.
