MG Motor Philippines has started 2026 on a strong note, recording 716 units sold in January—reflecting the brand’s continued growth in the local automotive market.

This represents an increase of 181 units compared to December 2025, and a 34 percent improvement versus January last year. The figures highlight MG’s upward trajectory and strengthening appeal among Filipino car buyers.

Leading the brand’s performance are its consistent volume sellers, particularly the MG5 sedan and MG ZS crossover. Both models continue to attract buyers with their balance of modern design, accessible technology, and competitive pricing. Contributing to the January results are newer additions to the lineup, including the MG T60 pickup—MG’s first diesel truck offering locally—and the MG HS Hybrid+, both introduced in late 2025.

As a result, MG Motor Philippines has climbed to 8th place in overall industry sales based on the latest CAMPI rankings, marking an important milestone for the brand.

“2026 is off to a fantastic start for MG Motor Philippines, and this strong performance reflects the growing trust and confidence of Filipino car buyers in our brand,” said Karl Magsuci, Vice President of MG Motor Philippines.

To sustain this momentum, MG is rolling out nationwide promotional offers across most of its lineup, giving more customers access to its expanding range of vehicles.

Moving forward, MG Motor Philippines aims to further grow its presence by introducing more technologically advanced and globally competitive models, while continuing to improve customer experience and strengthen its position in the Philippine automotive market.
